Travel Subsidy "Young Europeans for citizenship education"

The NECE Initiative is awarding up to 40 grants to subsidise travel and accommodation expenses for the duration of the NECE Conference 2019 in Glasgow, Scotland (UK). This subsidy offers financial support to young civic education stakeholders (professional or volunteer) from EU-member states, Switzerland, and Norway as well as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, so they may take part in the NECE Conference 2019 in Glasgow despite financial constraints.
 
Scope: What do we offer?
  • Participation in the NECE Conference 2019 (24 October, 4 pm -26 October, 21 pm) including meals and evening programme on 24 and 26 October.
  • An allowance to help to cover travel and accommodation costs; staggered by country of residence (for country list please see FAQs)
Who can apply for a subsidy?
  • You are between 20 and 30 years old.
  • You are a professional or volunteer in the field of citizenship or cultural education with a strong connection to the NECE focus points and interested in a transnational exchange and discussion on how education inside and outside of schools can find new ways to respond to inequalities and its negative impact on the lives of young people.
  • You are a citizen of one of the following countries: EU member states, Switzerland, Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia.
  • You will participate in the NECE Conference 2019 for the full duration (24–27 October 2019).
