Kerstin Lorenz

Kerstin Lorenz was born 1981 in Dresden, GDR and 8 years old, when the wall came down on November, 9th 1989. She can’t remember that day, since became a Historian anyway and focusses on East German History since university. Kerstin works as Historian for memorials, museums, schools and NGOs. She helped develop the open educational platform www.zeitenwende-lernportal.de which deals with the experiences and memories of the generation which was children or young people during the upheaval 1989/90 in East Germany. The Zeitenwende-Lernportal provides teaching materials and a pool of contemporary witnesses of that generation.
