Biography
Dina Sorokina began her academic studies at Novosibirsk State University, Russia. She graduated with Bachelor’s degree from St. Francis College, New York and received her Master’s degree in Visual Arts Administration from New York University. In addition, she holds a professional certificate from New York University, with qualifications of appraiser in the field of fine and decorative arts. From 2007 to 2015, she worked at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, with responsibilities covering various areas of museum work and activities, including administrative and curatorial. She joined the Yeltsin Center in Yekaterinburg in March, 2016 as the Director of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Museum, overseeing all aspects of work of the first presidential museum in Russia. She is a member of ICOM and serves on the jury of the European Museum Forum, as well as being actively involved in a number of social and philanthropic projects and boards in Russia.
