Youth engagement and civic education in times of pandemic and beyond – best practices from the EYP network
Each year EYP reaches over 30.000 young people from 40 European countries – engaging them in intercultural dialogue and parliamentary debate on current European topics. In normal times, our programme is built on mobility, on mutual encounters and in-person interaction. Considering the current COVID-19 pandemic, however, our numerous events across Europe have had to be postponed or cancelled, motivating us to explore the digitalisation of our formats and the potential of digital tools. In the time of social distancing, we wanted to provide a space for mutual encounter, for maintaining close ties across the continent and keep young Europeans engaged.
