Workshop: Creative Approaches to New Democracy CANDIICE
CANDIICE is an Erasmus Plus innovation project for citizenship educators across Europe and beyond inviting citizenship educators to expand the range of learning activities through creative and artistic encounters. The NECE Conference workshop will explore the relevance of creativity to Education for Democratic Citizenship (based on the Council of Europe Reference Framework). The workshop will provide taster experiences of some methodologies, ask participants to react intuitively, imaginatively, emotionally or otherwise to various artistic items (images, video, sound or artefacts) and explore how these reactions can expand our sensitivity to societal issues.
